Report
on the Municipal Nursery
From Annette Hinman
- The nursery has 30 species of trees and 1
bush type ornamental plant. As Bob Harrill said at the last meeting, the
trees are almost all of the very large variety and mostly shade trees.
There are both fast and slow growing indigenous and imported varieties.
Some have medicinal and nutritional qualities. There are 2" to 3" citrus
seedlings that have not been set out as
one variety or another. At this time, the workers only know that all of
the citrus varieties are represented. In my opinion, for your citrus
needs, buy 2 year old trees from a good nursery. More than half of the
trees at the nursery are newly planted.

Soil & Plants
- Victor Soto now also has soil and plants at his new nursery located
at the corner of Sonoma just south of the Governor's Mansion.
- Peter & Eleanor
Creighton, Val & Greg Carrico, and I believe Bob & Denise
Harrill have gotten "soil" from Jose Paz. No cell or telephone as far as
I know. Jose Paz is located on the corner or Calle Sakistan and the
road to the Chalaton Park. Right hand side and there is supposed to be a
mechanics shop across the street run by a man named Enrique.
